During monsoons or any cold evenings, we usually start craving for the spicy hot bajji / pakoda... With a cup of tea to enjoy the weather or over a conversation or just as a snack time....

The pakodas are ever favorite tea time snack ..

Ingredients:

- Besan - 1 1/2 cups

- Salt - as required

- Carrom seeds/Ajwain - 1/4 tsp

- Turmeric - a pinch

- Rice flour - 2 tsp

- Water - as required

- Potatoes - 3

- Oil - or frying

Recipe :

1. Wash and clean potatoes. Also heat oil in a kadai.

2. Now thinly slice the potatoes like chips. Slice as thin as possible.

3. For batter, mix besan, rice flour, salt, carrom seeds into a bowl and using water make a thick batter.

Add a spoon of hot oil and a pinch of turmeric to the batter & mix this well.

* Hot oil in the batter will make the bajjis fluffy and nice.

4. Now coat the potato slices with batter and deep fry till golden brown.

5. Take them into a paper to drain the extra oil.

6. Serve hot. This goes well with or without sauce or chutney along with a cup of hot tea.
