Italian by birth, the Pizzas are international favorite. Every region has crafted its own flavor. The pizzas can always be a main course dish loaded completely with vegetables, cheese and wonderful spice toppings.
Presenting you a healthy version made out from the wheat flour and homemade sauce spiced up with our very own peppers and others.
Now make this out at home and conquer the cravings of kids or your own.
Ingredients :
For Pizza Base :

- Wheat flour / Atta - 1 cup
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Curd - 2 tbsps
- Oil - 2 tbsps
- Water - 1/3 cup
- Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
For Pizza Sauce :
- Garlic - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
- Onions - 1/4 cup ( finely chopped)
- Tomatoes - 1 cup ( finely chopped)
- Salt - 1 tsp or as required
- Crushed pepper - 1tsp
- Red chilli flakes - 1 tsp
- Oregano - 1 tsp
- Water - 1/4 cup
- Your choice pizza topping veggies - Diced (Onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, jalapeños, black olives...)
- Oil - 2 tsps
Recipe :
1. Pizza Dough : In a mixing bowl, add wheat flour, salt, sugar, baking soda, curd, oil and mix well.
Now using water make a soft pliable dough. Brush some oil and let it sit for 30 mins.
2. Pizza Sauce : Heat a pan with oil and fry chopped garlic till you get nice aroma.
3. As garlic is slightly getting brown, add chopped onions and fry till the raw smell wades off.
4. Then add tomato chunks, salt and mix well. Close the lid and cook for 5mins. The tomatoes need to turn mushy.
5. When tomatoes are cooked, spice it up with red chilli flakes, crushed pepper, oregano. Mix well and add 1/4 cup of water.
6. Now add the veggie toppings of your choice except jalapeños & black olives. Mix everything and close the lid. Turn off the heat and take into a bowl after 5 mins.
The pizza sauce is all ready now.
7. Now take out the dough and knead it for 2-3 mins. Then roll out a big roti and cut out into small rounds using a shaper with 1/2 inch thickness.
*If you want a single one then make sure you make a roti little smaller than the pan base sixe so that it perfectly fits.
8. Now grease the pan with oil and place the pizza base on the pan carefully on medium heat.
9. Let one side roast well. Brush oil on the uncooked side and flip with simmer heat.
10. Now spread the pizza sauce. As the sauce already have the veggies, you can add extra if you want along with jalapenos & black olives.
11. Spread the mozzarella cheese evenly and close the lid.
*You need to carefully monitor this on low flame as this will be cooked within 5-8 mins.
12. The cheese has to melt and repeat till you finish all.
