Blueberry Muffins ~ Healthy recipe || No Maida



Muffins look more like cupcakes without frosting and can be made sweet or savory.

Here, we tried to replace the usual muffin flour from maida to make it more tasty and healthy. Packed in this muffins you will get the goodness of wheat flour, jowar flour, ragi flour, nuts, chia seeds and a lot more of guilt free satisfaction.


This muffin mix will be great for fuzzy eating kids and a great choice for adults too.



Ingredients :


- Wheat Flour / Atta - 1/2 cup

- Jowar flour - 1/2 cup

- Ragi Flour - 1/4 cup

- Almonds / Badam - 1/4 cup

- Cashews / Kaju - 1/4 cup

- Sunflower seeds - 2 tbsps

- Chia seeds - 1 tbsp

- Granola / Oats - 1/4 cup

- Butter - 3 tbsps

- Milk - 1 1/4 cup

- Blueberries (dried / fresh) - 1 cup

- Baking Soda - 1/2 tsp

- Baking Powder - 1 tsp

- Sugar - 1 cup


You can add more / change to nuts of your choice.


Recipe :


  1. Dry roast all the nuts, as color starts changing add granola / oats. When fried turn off the stove and add chia seeds. Mix well and let this cool.

  2. Now powder the nuts nicely.

  3. In a mixing bowl, sieve all the three flours - Wheat, Jowar and Ragi. Now also sieve the above prepared nuts powder. If there are still chunks of nuts left, then powder and mix along. Mix all the powders well. This is our healthy flour mix.

  4. Add Sugar and mix well. The muffins flour mix is all ready.

  5. Now add 1 cup of milk, melted butter and whisk in such a way that there are no lumps. After 1 cup, add the extra milk little by little and adjust the consistency.

  6. Add the blueberries, save some to add on top. Fold the berries into the batter using spatula.

  7. The consistency should not be flowing and should not be hard as well.

  8. Grease the muffins tray with butter and add spoonful and level the top evenly. Add some blueberries on top. You can also sprinkle some brown sugar on top as well.

  9. Bake these muffins in a pre-heated oven at 350 F for 25-30 mins or till they are done. The toothpick should come clean after they are done.

  10. Let the tray cool and then un-mould.


Enjoy the tasty and healthy muffins. They will be great for snack or breakfast too.
